It’s official: I’m going to New York City for my summer assignment!
I’ll be participating in Cru’s

We’ll be in the Brooklyn area reaching out to inner city youth.
Please pray for me and the 20+ people on the project as we coach and
disciple the college students who will be reaching out to high schoolers.

Pray also for the Lord to provide the $1500 I will

EDUCATION MAJORS PROJECT
Myrtle Beach, SC (June 12 – June 22) Cru college students attending this project are equipped to use their future position as a teacher to influence students for Christ. They'll learn about Cru High School and get connected with great resources. Through three days of workshops, they'll learn what’s possible, legal, and realistic for ministry as a teacher. They'll learn to engage with high-school and middle-school students effectively and give them the chance to disciple a group of teens and facilitate ministry training with students as they staff the Getaway.

LIFE OF ADVENTURE PROJECT

June 25-July 3 (college students and high school seniors)
July 4-12 (high school students)
Life of Adventure is truly an adventure of a lifetime. Attendees get to experience God in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Mornings consist of time reading and discussing the Bible. Afternoons consist of day-hikes, free time, and other adventures like white-water rafting down the Snake River. Evenings consist of campfires, S’Mores, sharing, and men’s and women’s time. There is also a three-day, two-night backpacking trip into the Teton backcountry. LOA 1 is open to college students and high school seniors. LOA 2 is for high school students.

Young leaders are built into to help them experience an adventure of faith, life, and growth. The first couple weeks include urban ministry experience in Denver, white-water rafting, camping, and training for specific jobs as camp staff. Camp starts after this training period and provides the chance to mentor and lead urban youth as well as grow as a servant-leader in various aspects of camp operations.
